About Me

Hi! I’m Smalls – a nickname I picked up in college that has stuck with me! I was born and raised in central Georgia and was blessed to attend Ohio Christian University in south-central Ohio for my undergraduate career. I graduated with a BA in Intercultural Ministries and ended up receiving a job offer during my last semester. I now reside in Central Ohio as a Children’s Pastor at a local church. I got married one year later on Christmas day in 2014. 2017 was a big year for my husband and I as in May I graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University with both an MBA and M.Min after two years of hard work! In June of 2017 we welcomed our son into the world and I couldn’t be happier to finally be a mom! My husband graduates in May of 2018 from Law School, so we are excited to see what the Lord has for us next!

As stated, I am a mother to the best little guy around, a wife, and a children’s pastor – each of these things make up a part of who I am and shape the words you will find throughout these pages. 2018 begins my 5th year of full time ministry, but my dad is in his 35th year of full time pastoral ministry, so local church ministry is in my blood. I also have a combined 8 summers of camp ministry (plus fall, winter, and spring retreats) experience ranging from counselor to director levels – I love being outside! I am passionate about people meeting the Jesus that has changed my life and finding their passion so that it can be used for His glory and to further His Kingdom!

In 2013, God led me to this being my life verse: “But I consider my life of no value to myself; my purpose is to finish my course and the ministry I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of God’s grace.” Acts 20:24 and it has rung true ever since. It is so cool to me that God placed that verse on my heart in January and in September, I received the job offer to become a Children’s Pastor full time.

For 2018, The Lord has placed Luke 6:24 on my heart: “A good person produces good out of the good stored up in his heart. An evil person produces evil out of the evil stored up in his heart, for his mouth speaks from the overflow of the heart.”
