Okay, so here’s the thing. I really do make an effort to take pictures and be conscious of things are once in a lifetime opportunities that I should capture for my future self.. I understand. Buuuuut.. that being said, when we went to Kiev, I didn’t do a great job of taking pictures. I did get, SOME.. but not as many as I should have.
That’s not the worst of it.. We did lots of touring around and hearing historical things and facts and figures and names and I really did enjoy it all, but I don’t remember it all well enough to write an awesome blog post for you..
What I have been blessed with is the fact that Shushan’s friend, Zane was visiting with us while we were in Kiev. He planned a layover so that he could see sites in Kiev and visit with Shushan. He is currently now in Israel studying for a few weeks for his Masters (I believe).
HE took lots of pictures and remembered tons of fantastic facts and wrote a beautiful blog post including all of it:
PLEASE go check it out.. He had a bit of plane trouble in Rome (another layover he planned) and so you can skip down past that if you don’t want to read about it.. But I am in 7 of the pictures, so it’s really true that we were together and experienced all of the same things! haha..
Also, if you click the “home” link on his blog, you can read more posts about his experience in Israel thus far. He takes tons of pictures and they are all gorgeous and make me want to go and experience that trip for myself even more than I already do.. (ahem, dad..)
Here are a few of the pictures that I did take:
